Beat the Screen is a 90-minute hosted team building activity that gets colleagues away from their desks and moving together, even when they’re joining from different places.
It mixes creative tasks, problem-solving challenges and light-hearted competition into one lively session that lifts energy and team spirit. From quick-thinking tasks to collaborative challenges, every round is built to keep people engaged and involved.
One of our remote hosts runs the whole session. They open with a briefing, split everyone into teams and set the first round going. Teams play through our interactive app, taking on rounds that test physical and mental agility: trivia and quick-fire questions, creative photo challenges and tasks that need the whole team up on its feet. Every completed challenge earns points, and the leaderboard shows who’s ahead as the rounds go by. At the end the host runs through the results, announces the winners and closes with a short debrief.
Beat the Screen runs in two formats. In the virtual version everyone joins remotely, from wherever they’re working that day. In the hybrid version some teams play together in the office while their colleagues join from home, and everyone competes on the same leaderboard. It can also run across several offices at the same time. Groups start from 8 people, and like our other virtual and hybrid activities it’s playable from anywhere with a smartphone or video call, so there’s no kit to send out.
It works well for teams who spend most of the day in back-to-back calls and need a break that isn’t another meeting, or as a mid-afternoon slot in a long virtual meeting, conference day or all-hands. It’s also a good way to welcome a new graduate intake or a group of new starters, and to bring hybrid teams together who don’t often get to play at the same time. It also suits tech, sales and leadership teams who like a competitive edge.

Activities can be adapted to fit your team’s needs. Virtual and hybrid formats are playable from anywhere with a smartphone or video call, and in-person routes and challenges can be tailored for mobility requirements. Tell us about your group when booking and we’ll adapt the experience so everyone can take part.
You can change your date, activity, or participant numbers up to 7 days before your event at no charge. If you need to cancel entirely or make changes within 7 days of your event, contact your event manager or email info@wearewildgoose.com and the team will talk you through your options.
Yes! Activities work for small teams or large groups, and can be adapted to fit your event, whether indoors, outdoors, virtual, or hybrid.
You can create an account during checkout or when prompted while booking online. Once your account is set up, you can manage your event details, review booking information, and return later to make updates.
Yes, all of our activities are run using our award winning mobile app - Your Mobile Adventure. This allows us to deliver high quality team activities for teams of any size, anywhere in the world. The app is available on the app store (apple and android), and your event manager or remote host will share everything you need to get everyone in your team into the activity ready to start.
