Looking for a team day that’s easy to organise and genuinely enjoyable? Wildgoose’s team building activities in Liverpool combine teamwork, friendly competition and city exploration in one flexible experience. Using our GPS-powered Mobile Adventures app, teams navigate Liverpool’s streets completing interactive challenges, photo tasks and creative missions along the way.
A typical treasure hunt in Liverpool might start near Lime Street, cut through the Georgian Quarter and Ropewalks, then finish on the waterfront at the Albert Dock. We can also start from Liverpool ONE or your hotel if that’s easier for your group.
From the iconic waterfront and Albert Dock to the independent bars of the Baltic Triangle and the historic charm of the Georgian Quarter, Liverpool offers the perfect backdrop for a memorable corporate event. Whether your group wants a relaxed social activity or a high-energy competitive challenge, our Liverpool team building events are designed to bring people together.
Organising a team building activity in Liverpool is straightforward. Once you’ve chosen your preferred experience, our team will help tailor the event around your group size, timings and location.
On the day, participants meet at a convenient central starting point such as Liverpool ONE, Albert Dock or near Lime Street Station. After a short briefing, teams download the Mobile Adventures app onto their smartphones and split into smaller groups of around 4-6 people.
Using GPS technology, teams explore Liverpool while unlocking location-based challenges, trivia questions, creative photo tasks and problem-solving activities. The experience encourages communication, collaboration and quick thinking as teams compete for points on the live leaderboard.
Most experiences last between 1 and 2 hours, depending on the activity and route selected. Events can finish at a restaurant, bar, conference venue or hotel, making it easy to continue your day with drinks, dinner or presentations afterwards.
For larger groups, we can accommodate events with up to 250 participants per session, with additional options available for bigger teams or multi-location experiences.
Liverpool’s compact city centre makes it ideal for team building activities on foot. Many groups choose to begin near Liverpool Lime Street Station thanks to its excellent transport connections and easy access to hotels and venues.
Popular exploration areas include:
Most routes are fully walkable and suitable for mixed fitness levels, making them ideal for both small teams and large company events.
Wildgoose team building activities in Liverpool work seamlessly alongside conferences, meetings and corporate events.

We regularly deliver events for groups using hotels, office spaces, restaurants and private venues across Liverpool.

The flexible app-based format means minimal setup is required. Teams simply need a smartphone and an adventurous mindset. We handle the logistics, briefing and live event management to ensure everything runs smoothly.

Not all the time. Mobile Adventures is a secure, native app, and the whole activity downloads to your Team Captain’s phone before you start (Wi-Fi is easiest for this). Everything is stored on the phone, so the activity keeps working when signal comes and goes. With a basic data connection you’ll get the most out of it: your photos and videos reach our host as you go, and you’ll get live messages and bonus tasks. If you lose signal, keep playing. Everything uploads once you’re back on data.
No, the beauty of all our activities is that they can are played from your own smartphone.
Almost anywhere, yes. Our GPS games are most often played in city centres, larger towns, or the grounds of a hotel or venue, and they work in any location where the route is safe with good paths and walkways.
We run outdoor team building activities across a wide range of locations, including several areas of London, but the same game runs just as well around your own office or in a nearby park. Just tell us where when you book. One thing worth knowing: Urban Explorer needs a town or city centre, because its photo and video challenges rely on landmarks and shops being close by. For a smaller town, hotel grounds or a venue like a theme park, we would point you at one of our other GPS games instead.
We always recommend choosing one of our hosting options to create a high-energy experience for your team. However, we also offer a selection of self-managed team activities too.
You play outdoors on your own smartphones, guided by GPS. Teams set off from a start point you choose, and as each team reaches a GPS hotspot the app unlocks the next clue, puzzle or challenge.
One of our hosts briefs everyone at the start, stays on hand throughout to support teams and keep the energy up, then wraps up with the results at the end. Remote hosting comes as standard, and an onsite host can join your group in person instead for an additional fee. There is no equipment for us to deliver and nothing to install on site, which is why an outdoor escape game can be booked with as little as 24 hours’ notice.
Tell us what you have in mind and our team will help you plan the perfect event.
