London gives teams more choice than almost anywhere else in the UK. You can build an event around iconic landmarks, stylish conference venues, rooftop socials, riverside routes, or neighbourhoods packed with character, all without compromising on accessibility. Whether you are planning a company away day, a conference breakout, a client event, or a reward experience, London makes it easy to bring people together in a setting that feels energising from the first briefing to the final results reveal.
If you’re after a treasure hunt in London, we can start it almost anywhere, from your office or hotel to a park or a Tube station that suits everyone. Routes often use Westminster, the South Bank or the City, and teams of four to six race between GPS checkpoints while they take in the sights.
At Wildgoose, we design London team building events to be practical as well as memorable. That means flexible formats, smooth event delivery, and activities that can be adapted to your group size, timings, venue, and objectives. If you want to get people moving, an outdoor challenge can turn the city itself into the experience. If your schedule is tighter, we can bring the energy indoors with fast-paced hosted activities, problem-solving games, and collaborative formats that fit neatly into meetings and conferences.
London is ideal when you need choice, scale, and a location that people are genuinely excited to explore. The city works for leadership groups, new starters, departments meeting in person for the first time in months, and large mixed teams attending conferences or company-wide gatherings.
Team building in London is especially effective because it can support different outcomes at the same time:
London team building should not feel like a one-size-fits-all package. Some clients need a short energiser between conference sessions. Others need a half-day experience for hundreds of delegates, or a carefully branded event that reflects business goals, values, or campaign messaging.
Our activities can be tailored around practical event requirements, including:
That flexibility makes London particularly strong for company away days, leadership off-sites, onboarding events, conference breakouts, and team socials where you want more structure than a standard dinner or drinks reception.
The best London events start with the outcome, not just the activity type. If your priority is networking and light competition, a social city challenge may be the best fit. If you need communication, problem solving, and a stronger sense of shared achievement, a more structured collaborative format will usually deliver better results.
When planning your event, it helps to think about:
If you already have a venue, a district, or a rough brief in mind, we can recommend an option that fits the shape of the day and the people attending.
London offers scale, variety, and a sense of occasion that is hard to replicate elsewhere. With the right format, it can deliver genuine team connection as well as a memorable day out. Explore our full range of team building activities, browse outdoor team building activities, or start with a London-friendly favourite such as Pub Explorer or Urban Explorer.
If you want to get everybody out into the city, London is a natural fit for in-person adventures such as Urban Explorer, The Ultimate, Pub Explorer, and Spy School: In The Field. These experiences are well suited to teams that want a more social, active format with plenty of movement, sightseeing, and friendly competition.
For conference venues, hotel spaces, and office settings, indoor formats can be just as effective. Activities such as The Pitch, Level Up, and Office Games are useful when you need strong engagement within a fixed space or a tighter event window.
If your people are spread across offices or working patterns, London also works brilliantly as a hub for virtual team building activities and hybrid team building activities. Options such as Around The World, Escape: Art Heist, and Team Quiz: Let’s Get Quizzical make it easy to include remote colleagues without losing pace or interaction.

One of the strengths of planning a London event is that you can match the feel of the activity to the part of the city you are using. Some teams want heritage, landmarks, and a classic London backdrop. Others want a more modern, creative, or neighbourhood-led atmosphere.
Popular starting points include Westminster, Covent Garden, Shoreditch, the City of London, Chelsea, and Soho. We can also help shape the experience around your venue, preferred walking radius, and the kind of atmosphere you want for the day.

Not all the time. Mobile Adventures is a secure, native app, and the whole activity downloads to your Team Captain’s phone before you start (Wi-Fi is easiest for this). Everything is stored on the phone, so the activity keeps working when signal comes and goes. With a basic data connection you’ll get the most out of it: your photos and videos reach our host as you go, and you’ll get live messages and bonus tasks. If you lose signal, keep playing. Everything uploads once you’re back on data.
No, the beauty of all our activities is that they can are played from your own smartphone.
Almost anywhere, yes. Our GPS games are most often played in city centres, larger towns, or the grounds of a hotel or venue, and they work in any location where the route is safe with good paths and walkways.
We run outdoor team building activities across a wide range of locations, including several areas of London, but the same game runs just as well around your own office or in a nearby park. Just tell us where when you book. One thing worth knowing: Urban Explorer needs a town or city centre, because its photo and video challenges rely on landmarks and shops being close by. For a smaller town, hotel grounds or a venue like a theme park, we would point you at one of our other GPS games instead.
We always recommend choosing one of our hosting options to create a high-energy experience for your team. However, we also offer a selection of self-managed team activities too.
You play outdoors on your own smartphones, guided by GPS. Teams set off from a start point you choose, and as each team reaches a GPS hotspot the app unlocks the next clue, puzzle or challenge.
One of our hosts briefs everyone at the start, stays on hand throughout to support teams and keep the energy up, then wraps up with the results at the end. Remote hosting comes as standard, and an onsite host can join your group in person instead for an additional fee. There is no equipment for us to deliver and nothing to install on site, which is why an outdoor escape game can be booked with as little as 24 hours’ notice.
Tell us what you have in mind and our team will help you plan the perfect event.
