For a team building experience steeped in history, Wildgoose’s Team Building & Treasure Hunt activities in Southwark and the City of London combine two of the capital’s most historically rich areas with fast-paced GPS gameplay. From the ancient streets of the Square Mile to the riverside culture of Southwark, this part of London offers an extraordinary mix of old and new — making it a compelling and accessible location for corporate team events.
A Southwark and City treasure hunt can start on either side of the river. Teams might begin near the Monument, cross London Bridge to Borough Market and Bankside, then head back over towards the Tower of London and Tower Bridge.
Using our interactive Mobile Adventures app, your group will navigate cobbled lanes, discover centuries of history and tackle a series of engaging challenges, puzzles and photo tasks along the way. From the Tower of London and Tower Bridge to Borough Market, Bankside and the Monument, Southwark and the City offer a wealth of iconic landmarks and hidden stories for teams to explore together.
Whether you’re planning a company away day, conference activity or after-work team social, Southwark and the City of London provide a historically rich and memorable backdrop for your next team event.
Few parts of London can match the depth of history found in Southwark and the City. From Roman remains and medieval churches to the modern towers of the financial district, this is a location that rewards exploration and brings team challenges to life in a uniquely vivid way.
The combination of iconic sights — Tower Bridge, the Shard, Borough Market, St Paul’s Cathedral, the Tate Modern — means teams are never short of dramatic and memorable settings for challenges and photo tasks throughout the experience.
As the heart of London’s financial and business district, the City of London is a natural home for corporate team events. The professional atmosphere, excellent transport links and wide variety of post-event venues make it a practical as well as exciting choice.
Borough Market, Bermondsey Street and the riverside around London Bridge are packed with excellent restaurants, bars and street food options — ideal for teams looking to make a full day of it before or after the activity.
Whether your group is racing across Tower Bridge, uncovering the history of the Square Mile or stopping off at Borough Market, Southwark and the City offer a team building experience as rich and rewarding as London itself.

Not all the time. Mobile Adventures is a secure, native app, and the whole activity downloads to your Team Captain’s phone before you start (Wi-Fi is easiest for this). Everything is stored on the phone, so the activity keeps working when signal comes and goes. With a basic data connection you’ll get the most out of it: your photos and videos reach our host as you go, and you’ll get live messages and bonus tasks. If you lose signal, keep playing. Everything uploads once you’re back on data.
No, the beauty of all our activities is that they can are played from your own smartphone.
Almost anywhere, yes. Our GPS games are most often played in city centres, larger towns, or the grounds of a hotel or venue, and they work in any location where the route is safe with good paths and walkways.
We run outdoor team building activities across a wide range of locations, including several areas of London, but the same game runs just as well around your own office or in a nearby park. Just tell us where when you book. One thing worth knowing: Urban Explorer needs a town or city centre, because its photo and video challenges rely on landmarks and shops being close by. For a smaller town, hotel grounds or a venue like a theme park, we would point you at one of our other GPS games instead.
We always recommend choosing one of our hosting options to create a high-energy experience for your team. However, we also offer a selection of self-managed team activities too.
You play outdoors on your own smartphones, guided by GPS. Teams set off from a start point you choose, and as each team reaches a GPS hotspot the app unlocks the next clue, puzzle or challenge.
One of our hosts briefs everyone at the start, stays on hand throughout to support teams and keep the energy up, then wraps up with the results at the end. Remote hosting comes as standard, and an onsite host can join your group in person instead for an additional fee. There is no equipment for us to deliver and nothing to install on site, which is why an outdoor escape game can be booked with as little as 24 hours’ notice.
Tell us what you have in mind and our team will help you plan the perfect event.
