Sustainable team building
Most team building carries a carbon cost that has very little to do with the activity itself. It is the getting there and the clearing up afterwards: colleagues driving or taking trains across the country, overnight hotel stays, a facilitator travelling out to meet them, a venue lit and heated for the day, and a pile of printed clue sheets, laminated maps and single-use props thrown away at the end.
We have spent the last six years designing as much of that out as we can. Everything we run is driven by our own technology, which means the activity does not depend on everyone being in the same room, or on anything being printed, shipped or binned. That single fact is what makes low-carbon team building possible at scale.
What we cannot reduce, we offset.
The Wildgoose Forest
We plant trees with Tree-Nation, an international reforestation platform working with certified planting projects around the world. Every tree is verified, recorded and traceable back to the project that put it in the ground.
The Wildgoose Forest covers the emissions we cannot design out of our own operations, and it grows every time a client runs an activity that plants trees on their behalf. Each planting is logged as it happens, so the forest is a running record rather than an annual claim.
You do not have to take our word for any of it. The forest is public.
Reduce first, offset second
Offsetting is the last step, not the first. Four things come before it.
Remote Hosts
Since 2020 we have offered Remote Hosting as an option on in-person activities, and it has become the most popular way our clients choose to run them. Your host joins by video link to brief the group, stays on standby through the app throughout, and delivers a media-rich wrap-up at the end. What they do not do is get in a car or on a plane to reach you.
It is better for the planet, and it turns out to be better for clients too. Remote Hosting means we can take bookings at shorter notice, absorb changes more easily, and keep our activities affordable across the board.
Onsite Hosts are still very much available. Plenty of groups want someone in the room driving the energy, and we deliver that - we just make sure the person who arrives has the shortest possible journey to make.
Global Operating Partners
Some groups want a host in the room, and that is a fair ask. So we built a network of Global Operating Partners - trained local delivery teams in the markets we serve.
When you book an Onsite Host, the person who arrives is already nearby. No long-haul flights, no cross-country drives, no hotel nights for our staff. Local presence is the point.
Multi-City
Multi-City is the biggest single saving available to most organisations. Offices in different cities, or different countries, compete on the same live leaderboard at the same time - so nobody books a flight, a train, a hire car or a hotel room to take part.
In September 2026, a group of 100 took part in an activity spanning London and Opfikon, Switzerland. Two locations, one competition, one leaderboard, and no journeys made to bring the group together.

Digital by default
There are no printed clue sheets, no laminated maps, no prop kits shipped to a venue and thrown away afterwards. Everything runs through the Mobile Adventures app on devices your people already own.
Escape: The Hidden Lab - the activity that plants trees
Our newest activity turns the game itself into reforestation.
In Escape: The Hidden Lab, every point a team earns converts into trees planted in the Wildgoose Forest. Solve faster, score higher, plant more. The trees are planted through Tree-Nation in your organisation’s name, and you get a verifiable record of exactly what your group contributed.
It runs indoors on interactive game screens or outdoors as a GPS-led treasure hunt, for groups from 6 to 1,000+.
Recent groups:
- 55 people in Windsor planted 385 trees, offsetting 19.25 tonnes of CO2
- 89 people in Halifax planted 623 trees
- 100 people across London and Opfikon planted 420 trees
Each of those plantings is logged on our Tree-Nation profile as it happens, named and dated.
Team building that leaves something behind, rather than something to clear up.
Our own footprint
We measure the emissions from running Wildgoose - our people, our technology, our operations - and offset them through Tree-Nation every year. FY 2024/25, FY 2025/26 and FY 2026/27 have all been offset, and the plantings are visible on our public profile alongside the client trees.
Frequently asked questions
Yes. Our Multi-City format links teams in different cities or countries on one live leaderboard, running simultaneously, so colleagues compete against each other without travelling to meet. It is the single largest emissions saving available to most distributed organisations.
Four ways. Remote Hosting is offered as an option on every in-person activity, with your host briefing and supporting the group by video link instead of travelling to you. Where you would rather have a host in the room, our Global Operating Partners put trained local teams in each market, so Onsite Hosts do not travel far. Multi-City lets offices in different cities compete together without anyone travelling to a central location. And every activity runs digitally through the Mobile Adventures app, so there are no printed materials or physical prop kits.
It can be. The emissions in a traditional team building day come overwhelmingly from travel - participants driving or flying to a central venue, plus facilitators travelling to meet them - and from single-use printed materials and props. An activity delivered through an app, hosted remotely, and run across multiple locations at once removes most of that.
No. Remote Hosting is an option, not a rule. It is the most popular choice our clients make, because it delivers the same briefing, the same live support through the app and the same media-rich wrap-up finale, while making us more flexible on dates, changes and short-notice bookings. If you would rather have a host in the room, we provide Onsite Hosts through our Global Operating Partners, who are based locally in each market. Self-Managed is a third option if you would prefer to run the activity yourself.
The Wildgoose Forest grows continuously, so the live total is always on our public Tree-Nation profile at tree-nation.com/profile/wildgoose, along with the CO2 captured and the area reforested.
Yes. Escape: The Hidden Lab converts the points teams earn during the activity into real trees planted through Tree-Nation in your organisation’s name. It runs indoors or outdoors, in person, virtually or hybrid, for groups from 6 to 1,000+.
