For a team building experience in one of London’s most transformed neighbourhoods, Wildgoose’s Team Building & Treasure Hunt activities in Kings Cross combine a rich industrial heritage with fast-paced GPS gameplay. Once known primarily as a transport hub, Kings Cross has reinvented itself as a thriving cultural and business district — making it an exciting and accessible location for getting teams out of the office and working together in a completely different environment.
Treasure hunts in Kings Cross usually start close to the station or Granary Square, so they’re easy to reach from anywhere. The route can follow Regent’s Canal, pass through Coal Drops Yard and loop back past St Pancras, with GPS checkpoints along the way.
Using our interactive Mobile Adventures app, your group will explore the regenerated streets around Granary Square, discover the history behind the iconic station and tackle a series of engaging challenges, puzzles and photo tasks along the way. From Coal Drops Yard and Regent’s Canal to the bustling streets of St Pancras, Kings Cross offers a brilliant mix of old and new for teams to explore together.
Whether you’re planning a company away day, conference activity or after-work team social, Kings Cross provides a dynamic and memorable backdrop for your next team event.
Kings Cross has undergone one of London’s most impressive regenerations, blending industrial heritage with modern architecture, independent retailers and cultural venues. It’s a neighbourhood full of surprises — perfect for an engaging team building experience.
The area’s open spaces, canalside walks and compact layout make it ideal for GPS treasure hunts, problem-solving challenges and friendly team competition. Teams can cover a lot of ground without ever feeling rushed.
Kings Cross and St Pancras International are among London’s best-connected stations, making it easy for teams travelling from across the city or further afield to get there without hassle.
From Coal Drops Yard’s independent restaurants and bars to the street food stalls around Granary Square, Kings Cross has plenty of great options for teams to socialise before or after the event.
Whether your group is discovering the story behind the station, racing along the canalside or stopping off at Coal Drops Yard, Kings Cross offers a team building experience that’s as memorable as the location itself.

Not all the time. Mobile Adventures is a secure, native app, and the whole activity downloads to your Team Captain’s phone before you start (Wi-Fi is easiest for this). Everything is stored on the phone, so the activity keeps working when signal comes and goes. With a basic data connection you’ll get the most out of it: your photos and videos reach our host as you go, and you’ll get live messages and bonus tasks. If you lose signal, keep playing. Everything uploads once you’re back on data.
No, the beauty of all our activities is that they can are played from your own smartphone.
Almost anywhere, yes. Our GPS games are most often played in city centres, larger towns, or the grounds of a hotel or venue, and they work in any location where the route is safe with good paths and walkways.
We run outdoor team building activities across a wide range of locations, including several areas of London, but the same game runs just as well around your own office or in a nearby park. Just tell us where when you book. One thing worth knowing: Urban Explorer needs a town or city centre, because its photo and video challenges rely on landmarks and shops being close by. For a smaller town, hotel grounds or a venue like a theme park, we would point you at one of our other GPS games instead.
We always recommend choosing one of our hosting options to create a high-energy experience for your team. However, we also offer a selection of self-managed team activities too.
You play outdoors on your own smartphones, guided by GPS. Teams set off from a start point you choose, and as each team reaches a GPS hotspot the app unlocks the next clue, puzzle or challenge.
One of our hosts briefs everyone at the start, stays on hand throughout to support teams and keep the energy up, then wraps up with the results at the end. Remote hosting comes as standard, and an onsite host can join your group in person instead for an additional fee. There is no equipment for us to deliver and nothing to install on site, which is why an outdoor escape game can be booked with as little as 24 hours’ notice.
Tell us what you have in mind and our team will help you plan the perfect event.
