Client: Sumo Logic — a cloud-native security and observability company

Activity: Urban Explorer

Format: In-person, outdoor GPS environment with a remote host

Location: Waterloo, London

Event date: 1 July 2026

Nish needed a sociable, high-energy activity that would bring the London-based team together without losing half a day to travel — so we built the game around the streets outside their own office.

The Brief

Nish Parkar was looking to bring the London-based team together for a sociable, high-energy activity close to the office. The brief needed to:

  • Work for a mid-sized group of 25 colleagues
  • Run in the immediate Waterloo area, close to Sumo Logic’s office, without requiring travel
  • Feel bespoke to Sumo Logic rather than a generic off-the-shelf activity
  • Fit within a fixed minimum spend, with the branding and question customisation built into that budget rather than charged as extras

The Solution: Urban Explorer

Wildgoose delivered Urban Explorer, our GPS outdoor city activity, configured for the Waterloo area of London.

Key delivery details:

  • Date: Wednesday 1 July 2026
  • Format: In-person, outdoor GPS environment with a remote host
  • Location: Waterloo, London
  • Group size: 25 participants
  • Customisation: Sumo Logic branding added to the game via the Custom Brand add-on, plus 8 custom questions built into the game

The Result

The activity was delivered as planned on 1 July 2026. Nish left Wildgoose the following review on Trustpilot shortly after the event:

Great for summer corporate events. I organised a corporate event for 25 team members. The entire experience was seamless and easy to manage with the portal. The team LOVED the activity and now we have some hilarious team photos for life! Thank you Wildgoose Events Team!

— Nish, Trustpilot review, July 2026

Engagement Snapshot

In-app stats from the live activity confirm strong engagement across the group:

  • Teams submitted 480 answers across the event, with the most engaged team working through almost 70% of the 95 available tasks
  • Of the tasks teams attempted, 28.1% were answered correctly first time on average, rising to 92% for the sharpest team on the day
  • Teams unlocked an average of 50.5% of the 12 hotspots around Waterloo, with the most popular hotspot visited by 82.4% of teams
  • Photo and video challenges contributed over a third of total points scored, reflecting high engagement with the creative side of the activity

Why It Worked

  • Running the activity in Waterloo itself meant no travel time was lost getting the team to and from the venue
  • Custom branding and bespoke questions were built into the standard minimum spend, keeping the activity affordable while still feeling tailored to Sumo Logic
  • The remote host model delivered a professional briefing and wrap-up without the cost of an onsite host
  • A flexible booking process — including the ability to adjust participant numbers close to the event date — made it easy for Nish to manage logistics
