The Brief

Bringing 100 colleagues together in Amsterdam created a familiar events challenge: how to give a large group a genuinely enjoyable, sociable afternoon without it feeling like a rigid, over-programmed tour. Christie needed a solution that could:

  • Entertain 100 people at once without splintering into a logistical headache
  • Give colleagues real freedom to explore the city, rather than a fixed, guided route
  • Finish somewhere meaningful – back at the firm’s own Amsterdam office – rather than a generic bar or hotel
  • Match a budget that worked well with a Remote Host delivery, keeping costs and logistics manageable

These constraints ruled out a traditional guided walking tour or a fully in-house solution, and pointed towards a technology-led activity that could scale to 100 people, run itself with minimal on-the-ground support, and be tailored to the brief.

The Solution: The Ultimate

Three route options were scoped with Christie – staying local to the hotel, extending to the Museumplein area, or heading into the historic centre – and the team ultimately chose a route that let colleagues travel into the city centre by tram or on foot before finishing at the office.
