What is personal information?
Personal information means any information that relates to an identifiable person who can be identified from that information, directly or indirectly. Here, it means personal information you give us through our site, by email, through social media, or when speaking to us by phone. Some US laws use the term “personal data” for the same thing; we use the two interchangeably.
By providing your personal information, you agree that we may use it in accordance with this policy. Please take the time to read the policy in full.
What information is collected from you?
You may be asked to submit personal information about yourself when you interact with us.
- If you inquire with us: your name, email address, phone number and the details of your inquiry
- If you download our app: the device used, its operating system, distance traveled during the game, the device’s starting battery life, which tasks you unlocked, the percentage of tasks you completed correctly, and your location throughout the game
- Details of your visits to our websites or app, and which site you came to us from
- Information gathered by cookies in your web browser
- Any comments and reviews you choose to leave
- Technical information about your internet connection and browser, the country and dialing code where your computer is located, the pages viewed during your visit, the advertisements you clicked, and any search terms you entered
- Your social media username, if you interact with us through those channels, so we can respond to your comments, questions or feedback
- Your contact details if you inquire about an event, including at a trade show or exhibition
- During events: event photos, answers to activity questions, and responses to any feedback tasks built into the activity. Feedback tasks typically ask teams to rate the event and offer positive and negative comments. These are stored on our game servers, hosted by Amazon Web Services in Dublin, Ireland.
What we collect if you download and use the Mobile Adventures app
Personal information you disclose to us
In short: we collect personal information that you provide to us.
We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide when you express an interest in obtaining information about us, our products or our services, when you take part in activities on the services, or when you otherwise contact us.
Personal information provided by you. What we collect depends on the context of your interactions with us, the choices you make, and the products and features you use. It may include:
- names
- photos, video and audio captured during gameplay
Sensitive information. We do not process sensitive information.
App data. If you use our app, we may also collect the following if you give us access or permission:
- Geolocation information. We may request access to location-based information from your mobile device, either continuously or while you are using the app, to provide location-based services. You can change our access or permissions in your device settings.
- Device access. We may request access to certain features of your mobile device, including the camera, microphone and storage. You can change our access or permissions in your device settings.
- Device data. We automatically collect device information such as your mobile device ID, model and manufacturer, operating system, version and system configuration information, device and application identification numbers, browser type and version, hardware model, internet service provider or mobile carrier, and IP address or proxy server. We may also collect information about the phone network associated with your device and which features of the app you used.
- Push notifications. We may ask to send you push notifications about your account or certain app features. You can turn these off in your device settings.
This information is needed primarily to maintain the security and operation of our app, for troubleshooting, and for our internal analytics and reporting.
All personal information you provide to us must be true, complete and accurate, and you must tell us of any changes to it.
Information collected automatically
In short: some information, such as your IP address and browser and device characteristics, is collected automatically when you use our services.
We automatically collect certain information when you visit, use or navigate the services. This information does not reveal your specific identity, such as your name or contact details, but may include device and usage information: your IP address, browser and device characteristics, operating system, language preferences, referring URLs, device name, country, location, information about how and when you use our services, and other technical information. It is needed primarily to maintain the security and operation of our services and for our internal analytics and reporting.
Like many businesses, we also collect information through cookies and similar technologies. The information we collect includes:
- Log and usage data. Service-related, diagnostic, usage and performance information that our servers automatically collect when you access or use the services, and that we record in log files. Depending on how you interact with us, this may include your IP address, device information, browser type and settings, information about your activity in the services (such as date and time stamps, pages and files viewed, searches and other actions), and device event information such as system activity, error reports and hardware settings.
- Device data. Information about the computer, phone, tablet or other device you use to access the services. Depending on the device, this may include your IP address or proxy server, device and application identification numbers, location, browser type, hardware model, internet service provider or mobile carrier, operating system and system configuration information.
- Location data. Information about your device’s location, which may be precise or imprecise. How much we collect depends on the type and settings of the device you use. For example, we may use GPS and other technologies to collect geolocation data. You can opt out by refusing access or by disabling the location setting on your device, although some parts of the services may then be unavailable to you.
How is your information used?
Our use of your personal information always has a lawful basis: it is necessary to complete an order, you have given your consent, or it is in our legitimate interests.
We need the information described above to understand your needs and give you a better service, and in particular to:
- manage and deliver your event
- enhance the experience
- administer any competitions you enter
- respond to your inquiries
- keep internal records and fulfill our contract with you
- improve our products and services through feedback requests and survey data
Who has access to your information?
We do not sell your personal information for money, and we do not rent or lease it. Any personal information we ask you for is safeguarded in line with current law.
We share your information with employees, agents and companies only where it is necessary to deliver services on our behalf. Our service providers are bound by contract to use the information only for the purposes we specify.
We do share limited information with advertising partners so they can measure the effectiveness of our advertising and show you relevant advertisements. Under some US state privacy laws this counts as “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising, even though no money changes hands. Cookie-based sharing happens only if you accept marketing cookies. Separately, if you give us your email address through an inquiry, callback request or quote save, we may use it to personalize the advertising you see from us. The Third-party services and Your rights and choices sections explain exactly what is shared and how to opt out.
How and where do we store your information?
We keep your personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy, or for as long as we have your permission to keep it.
Information held in systems hosted directly for Wildgoose is stored primarily in the United Kingdom and the European Union. Some of the third-party providers described below, including Google and HubSpot, may process personal information in the United States and other countries.
If you are in the United States, this means your information is transferred to and stored in the United Kingdom and the EU, where data protection law differs from US law. Wildgoose Events Inc. and Wildgoose Events Limited have put contractual protections in place covering these transfers. Where information moves in the other direction, out of the UK or EEA, the transfer is covered by an applicable adequacy decision, standard contractual clauses, or another legally recognized safeguard.
Your rights and choices
We will not pass your details to third parties for their own marketing purposes unless you have expressly permitted us to. Where you submit an inquiry, request a callback or save a quote, we may use your email address to personalize the advertising you see from us, as set out in the Google Ads section. You can change your marketing preferences at any time by emailing info@wearewildgoose.com, or by using the unsubscribe link in any marketing email we send you.
We will only contact you where it is necessary to perform a contract between us, where you have given consent, or where we have a legitimate interest in contacting you.
Whatever state or country you are in, we will uphold the following rights:
- the right to be informed about the personal information we process about you
- the right to access the personal information we process about you
- the right to have inaccurate personal information corrected
- the right to have your personal information deleted in certain circumstances
- the right to restrict processing of your personal information
- the right to data portability in certain circumstances
- the right to object to processing based on public or legitimate interest
- the right not to be subject to automated decision-making and profiling
- the right to withdraw consent at any time
- the right not to be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights
To exercise any of these rights, email info@wearewildgoose.com. We will verify your identity before acting on a request, usually by confirming details we already hold. We will respond within 45 days, and will tell you if we need a further 45 days.
If you believe any information we hold about you is incorrect or incomplete, please contact us using the details above and we will take reasonable steps to check its accuracy and correct it where necessary.
If you are a California resident
In the last 12 months we have collected the categories of personal information described in the sections above: identifiers, commercial information, internet and network activity, geolocation data, audio and visual information, and professional information if you apply to work with us. We collect it from you directly, from your use of our website and app, and from our analytics and advertising partners. We use it for the purposes listed under “How is your information used?”.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16.
We do share personal information with advertising partners for cross-context behavioral advertising, as described above: through marketing cookies where you have accepted them, and through your email address where you have given it to us in an inquiry, callback request or quote save. You can opt out at any time by:
- using the cookie preferences link in our site footer to withdraw consent for marketing cookies, or
- emailing info@wearewildgoose.com
You may use an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf. We may ask the agent for proof of your written permission, and may still ask you to verify your own identity directly.
We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights: we will not deny you services, charge you a different price, or give you a lower quality of service.
Children’s privacy
Our website, app and activities are intended for use by adults in a workplace setting. They are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13.
Where an event is booked by an organization whose participants include people under 18, the booking organization is responsible for obtaining any consent required from participants or their parents or guardians before the event, including consent to photographs, video and location tracking during gameplay.
If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us at info@wearewildgoose.com and we will delete it.
Security
Data security matters a great deal to us. We take every precaution to protect our users’ information through firewalls, browser certification technology, encryption, limited access and the use of passwords.
Only employees and agents who need the information to do a specific job are granted access to it.
You should be aware that email and the internet are not entirely secure, and for this reason we cannot guarantee the security or integrity of any personal information transferred to or from you by email or over the internet.
Use of cookies
Like many other websites, we use cookies to help personalize your experience online. A cookie is a text file placed on your device by a web server that allows the website to recognize you when you visit. Cookies collect data about browsing actions and patterns; they do not identify you as an individual by themselves.
You can enable or disable cookies in your browser. Most browsers also let you choose whether to disable all cookies or only third-party cookies. Most browsers accept cookies by default, but this can be changed. For details, please see the help menu in your browser or the documentation that came with your device.
You can delete cookies from your device at any time, but you may lose settings that let you access our site more quickly and efficiently, including login and personalization settings.
We may use IP addresses to analyze trends, administer the site, track users’ movements and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use.
Third-party services
Google Ads and Google Analytics
We use the Google tag for Google Ads conversion measurement, advertising attribution and remarketing, and for Google Analytics 4 website analytics. Google Consent Mode communicates your cookie choices to the tag. Before you make a choice, or when you reject non-essential cookies, Google may receive limited cookieless measurement signals without advertising cookies or persistent advertising identifiers. Advertising storage, personalized advertising and remarketing are enabled only when you accept marketing cookies. Cookie-based behavioral analytics in Google Analytics 4 is enabled only when you accept analytics cookies.
When you accept marketing cookies and submit an eligible sales inquiry form, we may send Google a one-way SHA-256 hashed version of your email address as part of Enhanced Conversions. This helps Google match the inquiry to an earlier advertisement interaction and measure advertising effectiveness. The email address is normalized and hashed in your browser before it is sent to Google; the hash remains pseudonymized personal information. We do not attach this data to newsletter signups or booking-start events.
Google may process data in the United States and other countries. For more information, see Google’s Privacy Policy, Google’s information about data used in advertising, and Google’s Ads Data Processing Terms.
Separately, where you provide your email address directly through an inquiry, callback request or quote save, we may use it, together with information about your visit, to personalize the advertising you see from us and measure its effectiveness, even if you have not accepted marketing cookies. You can ask us to stop this at any time by contacting us using the details above.
HubSpot
We use HubSpot (HubSpot, Inc., 25 First Street, Cambridge, MA 02141, USA) as our CRM and marketing platform to manage inquiries and contact records submitted through our website forms.
When you accept marketing cookies, HubSpot sets the hubspotutk cookie on your device. This cookie identifies you as a returning visitor so that if you submit a form, HubSpot can match the submission to an existing contact record rather than creating a duplicate. HubSpot also uses this cookie alongside our Google Ads integration to attribute form submissions to advertising campaigns.
| Cookie | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| hubspotutk | HubSpot | Identifies returning visitors for CRM contact deduplication and Google Ads attribution | 180 days |
| __hstc | HubSpot | Main tracking cookie; stores visitor data across sessions | 180 days |
| __hssc | HubSpot | Session tracking; counts page views per session | 30 minutes |
| __hssrc | HubSpot | Session identifier; used to detect new browser sessions | Session |
HubSpot processes data on servers located in the United States. Transfers from the UK and EU are covered by HubSpot’s standard contractual clauses under GDPR Article 46. For more information, see HubSpot’s Privacy Policy and their Data Processing Agreement.
The hubspotutk cookie is set only if you accept marketing cookies through our cookie consent banner. You can withdraw consent at any time by updating your cookie preferences using the link in the site footer.
PostHog
We use PostHog (PostHog, Inc.) for website analytics. Its software may initialize before you make a choice, with event capture disabled. Separately, and regardless of your choice, we send PostHog an anonymous, cookieless record of the choice itself — for example that the cookie banner was shown, or that you accepted, rejected or adjusted cookie preferences — so we can measure how well the banner works. This measurement creates no profile of any person, reads and writes no cookies or other device storage, and uses no persistent identifier. Data is processed through a proxy hosted in the EU. For more information, see PostHog’s Privacy Policy.
Amazon Web Services
Our game servers are hosted by Amazon Web Services in Dublin, Ireland. Event photos, activity answers and feedback responses are stored there.

Wildgoose updates this privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes in how we work. We encourage you to review it periodically so you know how we are protecting your information. This policy was last updated in September 2026.
